Japanese Satsuma Vase

Antique Japanese Satsuma Vase depicting a Geisha playing a biwa. The design and artwork is wonderfully colourful and displays trees in background, a traditional Japanese house and mountains, while the foreground is completely dedicated to the beautiful colours of traditional dress, rosy cheeks and traditional hair-style. 
 
Dated to the Japanese Meiji period and in mint condition - These hand-painted period pieces are known for the Cracked porcelain look but is part of the original design and known as Crazing. Top and Bottom borders are decorated in gold raised motifs and superb intricate design - Height is 23.5cm.
